Golf Scramble Update

28 Feb 2016 by Craig

We are currently in the process of putting together our first annual golf scramble to help our families offset the cost of our year end tournaments including nationals. We are committed to putting together a first class event. Our goal is to have at least 72 golfers (18 foursomes) but I believe we can easily surpass this number. The key thing to remember is that the more golfers we get, the more cost we offset. It’s also important to remember our goal is to offset cost for our families, so it is vitally important that we recruit as many non-club members as we can to play in order to ease our families financial obligations. The success of this event relies on how well our members promote this event. We are currently putting a flier together to use in promotion, until that is available here are the particulars:

Date: 5/22/16
Location: Quail Chase Golf Club
Time: Check In opens @11:00 am
Lunch Buffet @ Noon
Shotgun start @ 1:00 pm
Cost: $400 per team
Prizes: TBA

2nd place
Last Place

Door Prizes
Also: Silent Auction

And more…

In addition to recruiting as many golfers as we can to this event we also need help in the following areas:

Hole Sponsorships: We are looking for Hole, Putting Green and Driving Range sponsors. These sponsorships are $100 and include a sponsorship sign on a designated hole or location.

Silent Auction Items: We are seeking donations for our silent auction. Examples may be but not limited to a Staycation package, A Condo getaway, Autographed Memorabilia, Sporting Event Tickets, Night at Horseshoe…etc.

Team Baskets For Silent Auction: Look for a communication coming soon but we are looking for our team coordinators to help put together a themed basket from each of our teams. This may include a U of L or UK Basket, Trinity-St.X-DeSales baskets, a Liquor Basket….etc

Raffle Items: We are looking for donations for our raffles. These may be one off items or smaller denomination items. Things like but not limited to a golf bag, apparel, gift cards…etc

Volunteers: As always we can use any help that we can get. Whether it’s planning or day of the event, let us know if you can help. Also, we are planning on having the boys to help set up, register and clean up. Details will follow regarding sign ups for the boys.

Thanks in advance for all your help and making the Fury what it is,
